Stevenson are community-focused and enjoy engaging and partnering with our local people. Each of our sites has a sponsorship fund dedicated to projects that support our community and environment.
Supporting our community
Our tamariki are our future which is why we hold open quarry days to teach and inspire the next generation about our exciting industry. We have been supporting the annual fundraiser ‘Ride to School’ at Drury School for many years and are involved in local community sponsorships.
We have a partnership with Te Maangai o Wairere.
To address potential cultural and environmental effects of quarrying activity, Te Maangai o Wairere and Stevenson have agreed to a number of protocols and mitigation measures. These are documented in Te Ara Tuupuna and aim to address potential cultural and environmental adversities and provide solutions to appropriately address throughout the quarrying period and beyond.
A living document, Te Ara Tuupuna can be amended as necessary by mutual agreement of both parties.
