Pre-Cast Concrete Speed Tables

Posted on

Pre-casting is an efficient low-carbon emission process for constructing speed tables and other concrete road structures. Stevenson was proud to supply the concrete to Fulton Hogan’s pre-cast modular speed table for Auckland Transport in Kumeū.

Installation of a traditional in-situ built table typically takes about two weeks to complete. This pre-cast speed table took only one overnight shift to install, minimising traffic management costs and disruption for local businesses. Speed tables work like an oversized speed bump to slow traffic down so our kids and communities are safe on the road. Pre-casting saves time, has health and safety benefits in construction, and is manufactured in a controlled environment where changeable weather doesn’t affect productivity.

With New Zealand’s growing interest in delivering concrete road structures more efficiently, our precast concrete product provides an effective solution.
