​​The Cleanness Value test measures the amount of fine clay-like material coating surfacing and concrete aggregates.

Carried out on sealing chip, asphalt aggregate and concrete aggregate, the cleanness value test measures the amount of fine clay-like material coating the chips. A low cleanness value can mean that there is too much clay-like material coating the particles which can affect the performance of the final surfacing or concrete product.
