We won the Concrete NZ Health, Safety and Wellbeing Award!

Posted on

Health and Safety is a huge part of our day to day and thanks to the team’s efforts, Stevenson Concrete has been recognised by Concrete NZ for our leadership and innovation in helping to improve the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people.

Over the last two years, we have achieved a remarkable reduction in workplace injuries and our Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) – which is what truly matters.

Our total Injury Count was 21 in 2022 and 17 in 2023 – this has now dropped to 3 for 2024, with none being serious injuries. This demonstrates the effectiveness of our commitment to Living Safely.

“We are so very proud to receive this award. It reflects the hard work and dedication that often goes unseen from our teams and contractors. While there is still room for improvement, we are ready to take on every challenge and be the leaders of Health and Safety in the concrete industry” says Shane Stewart, Stevenson Health & Safety Manager.

This achievement would not have been possible without everyone’s contributions and is a collective victory for the team. We would also like to acknowledge and thank Tim Miekle for his leadership and the role he played in driving this success during his time with us.

Thank you, team!
